Q1: Do you favor establishing a family and medical leave insurance program for Washington, funded through payroll premiums (estimated to total $3.00 per week for a typical worker)?
I absolutely support such a measure and feel that this is an extremely important program for all families and individuals who care for others or need the time to be a support system for their family members.
Q2: Will you prioritize passing family and medical leave insurance in 2017?
I will commit to fighting for the passage of this program and achieving the outcome we need, rather than the one we end up with.
Q3: Optional additional statement:
As someone who has had to care for family members in home, and be the support for family out of the home in times of family crisis, I have felt the pinch of juggling the have-to of work and care-giver. This is a critical opportunity to relieve the stress for those who find themselves in such a seemingly hopeless situation. It will be a pleasure and personal mission to get this passed.

I am a pro labor and pro business candidate promoting extensive and fair job growth that includes a living wage for workers – we can accomplish this through investment in infrastructure, small business, sustainable energy, agriculture, and international trade. One of the critical aspects of business growth is that workers are fairly compensated and share in the profits gained from their labor and productivity.
