Q1: Do you favor establishing a family and medical leave insurance program for Washington, funded through payroll premiums (estimated to total $3.00 per week for a typical worker)?
I definitely favor establishing paid family and medical leave, but I’m not sure exactly what will be the best way to implement it.
Q2: Will you prioritize passing family and medical leave insurance in 2017?
Ensuring workers have access to paid family and medical leave is a priority, but I want to explore all the options available to achieve that goal.
Q3: Optional additional statement:
Every worker should have access to paid time off when they are ill or injured. No one should go to work sick because they can’t afford to take time off. It’s not good for the worker, their coworkers, customers, or business.
